two

It's one birthday after another in November at our house, I love it and dread it in equal doses ... well really I love it, but if I had the choice they wouldn't all be so near to Christmas, however you can't choose these things!

Straight after my big girl's birthday, my littlest kiddo celebrates hers. Two years old, where on earth did the time go ... I could get all melancholy about her growing up, as she's defo my last baby, and it is sad to know that those baby years are behind me. But I'm not going to dwell on that, as one of the joys of having a third child is watching the bond grow between our big kids and our baby. The older she gets the more she can join in with her siblings, and if there is one thing that she wants more than anything it's to muck in and do exactly what they're doing. And you know what, it gives me so much pleasure to watch them together, the chaos, the noise, the mess, the laughter and sometimes the tears, its all part of the fun and little Elsie-boo is always in the thick of it!

Next week it's my hubby's birthday, I promise I won't post any pics of him opening his presies ...

  5. I can so identify with this, we have similar experience in our household...Little B will be 3 in January and it delights me the way they all play together(big kids now 8 and 10), the chaos, noise, music, well, it makes life so full and vibrant doesn't it?
I love these pre-school years, better than the baby/toddler years. I love the speech thing soooooo much, I love how we can chat about all sorts.

    1. Yay! we have the same age gap - mine are 9, 7 and 2 - I collect people with the same gap as that 5 years between the 2nd and 3rd seems to be a rarity ... but so lovely, more people should do it, you get to indulge and stay at home with one little baby and do the first child thing all over again but with experience, you get to enjoy seeing the little one's happiness when the older ones get home from school, and you have 2 extra willing people around to help!! I totally recommend it :o)

p.s. I'm already working on my Man with the piggy idea!

  7. What a busy birthday time you are having - we have this too, although summer birthdays. Your little one looks so sweet opening her pressies, I'm glad she had a lovely day. I feel exactly the same about watching my baby grow - bittersweet. Em (lululoves)xx
