seven

I'm sure every parent says this, but I really cannot believe that my gorgeous little girl has already turned seven. Time zooms along when you have kids around, organising, taxi-ing, helping, school running, washing, tiding, daily life takes over. Then once a year, when one of them has a birthday, I stop and think, and without asking it to my mind takes me back to the moment they were born. In that instant I can remember it all as clearly as if it were yesterday ... the joy, relief and excitement comes flooding back.

  4. Seven is such a lovely age to be. My little one will be saying goodbye to her seven's come February - I think we will both miss them.

    1. She is certainly being very cute at the moment - I love the way they switch from being very grown up to being a little girl again at this age - you can see I'm holding on to the little girl years!

    1. Thank you sweetie! This was actually her birthday breakfast, we have this tradition where I decorate the kitchen as a surprise and the birthday girl/boy gets to choose the breakfast of their choice - her actual party was far less demure!

  6. Such pretty pictures of your precious first born.I love the look on their faces when they open a present(which are beautifully wrapped by the way). So scary how time goes so quickly, I am acutely aware of my Alice getting older and heading towards being 13, each day needs to be embraced. Sometimes easier said than done xox Happy 7th year to your girly, it's going to be a good one xox Penelope

    1. lol - so right, they grow up so quickly, having children is such a reminder as to how fast the years pass, I feel like it was her 6th birthday just last month!

You did so well with all the gift wrapping, and that table setting looks delightful too. Love the smiles on her face.

    1. Thank you sweetie - I love an excuse to dress a table up! I was in a real panic this time as I had left it too late to order anything ... luckily I live around the corner from a very lovely friend who likes party decorations as much as me!
